Prediction: After having their six-game winning streak snapped by the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday evening, the Boston Bruins won’t be in the best of moods when taking the ice at Verizon Center on Tuesday. Those feelings will then be extrapolated by their opponents being the same team that ended their quest for back-to-back Stanley Cups, just ten short months ago. Truthfully though, the Capitals team you will see tonight is a lot different than the one that left TD Garden with a Game 7 victory last April. The departure of head coach Dale Hunter seems to have set the Capitals back quite a bit as they now find themselves firmly in the basement of the Eastern Conference while waves of criticism continue to come down on captain Alex Ovechkin. I’d expect the Bruins to come out fast and overwhelm the Caps early, eventually picking up the 4-2 victory.
Bruins 4 , Capitals 2
