2013 Tampa Bay Lightning Schedule Announced


The NHL lockout is officially over as both sides have ratified the new CBA and signed the Memorandum of Understanding. With that, the Bolts announced their 2013 abbreviated schedule.

The Lightning’s 20th season will be a mad dash to the finish line. They will play 48 games in 99 days.

Five of the initial seven games are at home.

After opening the season at home against the Washington Capitals on Saturday, January 19, the Lightning will play back to back road games against the New York Islanders on January 21 and the Carolina Hurricanes on January 22.

Tampa Bay will return to the Times Forum for a five game home-stand, January 25 – February 2.

The Bolts will play back to back games a total of eight times with seven of those being on the road.

The Lightning have five games on NBC Sports Network: Tuesday, February 5 at Philadelphia, Sunday, February 24 at Pittsburgh, Monday, March 4 at Pittsburgh, Monday, March 18 vs. Philadelphia and Tuesday April 11 vs. Pittsburgh.

The Bolts are on NHL Network twice this season: February 14 vs.Washington and March 16 vs. Carolina.
