Mikkelson To Sweden

Lightning defenseman Brendan Mikkelson will spend the remainder of the lockout playing in Sweden’s Allsvenskan league for Vasteras.

The 25 year old played in 41 games for the Bolts last season, accumulating three points and 13 penalty minutes.

He becomes the fourth member of the Lightning to play overseas, joining forward Adam Hall (Ravensburg/Germany), defenseman Victor Hedman (Astana Barys/KHL) and goaltender Anders Lindback (Ilves/Finland).
