As first reported by Katie Strang of Newsday, Islanders defenseman Mark Streit has a torn labrum, and rotator cuff and will miss at least 6 months. Meaning the Islanders would have to make the playoffs for Streit to see the ice again.
Streit was injured during yesterday’s scrimmage in the 3rd period. When we saw him in the hallway outside the locker room, his arm was in a sling and he didn’t look happy. Now we know why.
