Former HockeyBuzz.com Tampa Bay Lightning correspondent, Jon Jordan, and Creative Loafing’s Lightning writer, Mike Corcoran stop in for a cameo here at Hockey Independent with the debut episode of The Bolts Beat – a relaunch/rebranding of the podcast formerly known as BoltsBuzz Radio.

On today’s show, Lyle “Spector” Richardson joins Jon and Mike to discuss the highs and lows of the trade rumor game, the expected transaction frenzy of this weekend’s NHL Draft and the off-season ahead for the both Lightning and the NHL in general. Also joining the broadcast: Lightning blue chip goaltending prospect Dustin Tokarski, who shares his draft experience and gives his thoughts on the bright future that lies ahead for him.

All that and more, including draft and offseason opinions and predictions from the hosts as well as the return of former BBR features, “What the Hell Was THAT?” and “Mike’s Missed Call of the Week”. (And maybe, juuuuuuust MAYBE, a little insight into the mysterious future of JJ’s Bolts coverage???)

Ladies, gentlemen, and creatures of this fine universe we are all a part of, tonight from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM Eastern is “The Hockey Guys!” Hockey podcast: The Hockey Guys – for all the information needed, however here is a breakdown:

It’s simple, easy and free to register for the chat room for tonight’s podcast (as well as any podcast you would be interested in listening to this spectacular hockey season). All you have to do is go to BlogTalkRadio and register to sign up. Then at 9PM, just refresh that page (or go back to it) and the chat room will load as we go live. Tonight, we have Canadiens blogger George Prax joining us to discuss the goaltending issues in Montreal. Our show breakdown will include the sale of Phoenix, Goalie controversies around the NHL, Kovalchuk’s injury, Coachs/GMs on the hot seat, Underrated NHLers, and a few other great topics for discussion.

BD himself was a guest on one of our previous programs (which are archived on both websites: www.thehockeyguys.com and www.crashthecrease.com) and I’m sure he will be a future guest as well (fingers crossed). As has Al Cimaglia, Lyle Richardson, Eklund, etc.

I encourage you, if you are all as much into hockey as we (the hockey guys) are, to come and join the fun this fine evening. Hope to see you all there!

I’ll have some Kings work up at some point prior to their next game, as I hope to continue to get you readers attention!

Thanks to all who will attempt to show up, and to those of you who do, I hope you like the show.

Be sure to add me to your twitter followers: ACHockeyGuys
AC

(a special thanks to BD for allowing me to post this on HI! Thanks buddy!)
