The Boogaard Aftermath
This week, The New York Times published a 3-part series about the late Derek Boogaard. Regardless of what team you root for, the whole series is a must read and as incredibly heartbreaking and disturbing as it gets. The third part that ran on Tuesday, December 5th laid out Boogaard’s life in the grips of [...]
Book Review: Tough Guy – Bob Probert
Bob Probert was cuffed with his hands behind his back. He was facedown on the ground with a cop’s knee on his neck. Probert told him he was probably the fat kid in school that was always picked on, and that’s why he became a cop. Probert’s face was a mess after that comment. The [...]

Greg answers his own question “no“, but for different reasons than [...]

Tonight the Red Wings travel to New York to play the Rangers. As I’ve had a busy day, this post is going to get updated after the game, as this is just a placeholder for now. I couldn’t do a full preview, so…here’s a classic Red Wings/Rangers moment. It’s the two fights between the Red [...]
MacIntyre to Florida and the Myth of the Enforcer
Obviously there is a market for players like MacIntyre who have a limited skill set and really aren’t ever going to contribute in anyway that doesn’t use their firsts.
