According to different sources, the Nashville Predators have acquired rearguard Denis Grebeshkov from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a 2nd round draft pick in 2010.
In 47 games with Edmonton this season, Grebeshkov has recorded six goals and thirteen helpers for 19 points. His +/- differential is a lackluster -19 on the worst defensive team in the league. Grebeshkov, 26, played for Russia during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
This move means UFA defenseman Dan Hamhuis will likely be moved by Nashville before the March 3 trade deadline.
