Tavares live in Edmonton?

Today might be one of the best September days ever. First off the forecast high is 30°C. Edmonton doesn’t reach 30°C all that often in July and August, forget about mid September. On top of the lovely weather the Oil face the Isles in the first home game (albeit preseason) of the year. So weather and hockey, does it get better? It sure will if John Tavares plays his first NHL game tonight.
When the Isles opened the preseason schedule on Monday night Tavares sat out with the flu. I haven’t seen an official announcement yet but I’ve got my fingers crossed that he’ll be in tonight’s lineup. If Tavares doesn’t play tonight I’ll have to wait until next year to see him since the Islanders don’t play a regular season game in Edmonton this year. Who makes up schedule where every team doesn’t play in every city?
It would be a treat to see a guy like him play his first game, even in the preseason, since we’ve only had Crosby and Ovechkin come to town once each in the four years they’ve been in the league. Honestly, who makes up this schedule? Mr. Bettman who do you hate Edmonton so much?
Puck drop in just over ten hours.

Looks like I can take that ? off the title of the post, according to the Oilers website Tavares is in the lineup for tonights game. Sweet.

About the Author: I'm a life long fan of hockey, especially the Oilers. The primary purpose of my day job is to get money to support my addiction to the Oil. Between season seats, beer, and merchandise I shudder to think about how much money I feed into the Oiler coffers every year.
My addiction to the Oil knows no bounds, when I got married in Mexico the whole trip had to be shifted after everything was booked so that I'd be back for the Mark Messier jersey retirement. My wife is very understanding and I'm in a good place with my addiction right now so I see no reason to change anything.
