When Gorges came over, no one really thought of him as the centerpiece of the Rivet deal. Truthfully, he might be the best acquisition Bob Gainey ever made. I don&#039;t think I noticed him making an error the entire season. And frankly his lack of offensive production doesn&#039;t bother me.</description>

I agree about Gorges being a great candidate for the captaincy. Loved his game even early on when he was with the Sharks. Likened it to Marc-Edouard Vlasic&#039;s defensive game with more grit, heart, and leadership.</description>
