Flyers Re-Call Randy Jones

Wow…I know if I was an Atlantic division team, I’d claim Jones on recall waivers, just to screw up the Flyers cap situation.
Of course this will lead to speculation about a number of things:
1. Simon Gagne will probably be out an extended period from hernia surgery
2. The play of Braydon Coburn, Kimmo Timonen, Danny Syvret and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen has been found wanting
3. Ryan Parent might be out longer than first expected.
4. Possible trade soon.

Per Comcast SportsNet Philly’s Tim Panaccio, the Flyers have placed winger Simon Gagne on the long term inured list, to make the cap room for Jones. Gagne must miss 24 days and 10 games, just because of the LTIR designation. According to Panaccio’s story, no decision on surgery for Gagne’s ailing groin will come before Thursday.
