Their Amazing Trip Continues with Another Big Win

Just when you thought that the Rangers may be left for dead after they were trailing 1-0 against the Panthers after 2 periods tonight, they came out like a house of fire and kept them on their heels and scored 4 times enroute to a huge 4-1 win which pulled them into an 8th place tie with the Flyers, whom they have a home and home with to finish off the season. Once again, they got great goaltending from Lundqvist and the scoring came from Prust, Drury, Staal, and Gaborik, who finished it off with an empty netter for his 41st.
The unbelievable part about this trip is that I gave them no hope for doing anything as far as getting near a playoff spot and here they are with one game to go in Buffalo on Tuesday with a 4-0-1 record. After that, they finish off with 2 of their last 3 at home and now have some control of where they can potentially finish thanks to all the teams around them not playing quite as well at this time.
Anyway, there is still some work to do, but we Ranger fans appreciate the fact that they didn’t mail it in when they were just about out of it. I will keep hope that they can sneak in and plan on being at the Toronto game on Wed. night, cheering them on. Well, that’s about it for now, so until Tuesday night…….
Have a happy Easter and Passover all,
Howie
