First off, let me apologize for the near month long absence of my presence here on Hockey Independent. As I’m sure many of you know, this time of year becomes excessively busy for those of us who happen to be high school seniors going through the process of applying to, and preparing for college.

Now, let’s get down to business, tonight the Bruins take the ice for the start of a three-game home stand as the improving Buffalo Sabres come to town.

Tonight marks the second match-up between these familiar playoff foes since their six-game series in last years Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Tonight also marks one of the most anticipated goaltending match-up’s of this still-young season as Tim Thomas (13-2-2, 1.46, .956%) will butt heads with co-US Olympian Ryan Miller(9-7-2, 2.26, .922%).
