The unfortunate thing is that playing a pure butterfly style still puts a lot of stress on the hips, knees, and ankles. That being said, DP seemed to limit the amount of time he spent out of the crease during his short comeback last season, and also limited his super athletic moves. I think that was a factor with a number of the soft goals he gave up. He was used to playing at one speed, but was trying to adjust to playing at another.
