Ive had it up to my eye balls with this soap opera we call the NY Islanders....When I became an Isles fan, back in the day it was for 2 reasons...I live on Long island and they won 4 Stanley Cups just prior to me becoming an Isles fan...All Ive endured is embarrassments since then...Thank God I inherited the Yankees and Giants from my father or I would be a miserable fan all year round...

I am not sure if Queens talk is just conversations. Wang does not negotiate in public and he let Wilpon to talk to Newsday two weeks after Mangano told Newsday that he had been talking with Shinnecock tribe for a possible casino around the Nassau Coliseum.

What hockey person in their right mind would think this was a good idea. Also watching Lavy coach in the finals AGAIN just reinforces what a joke Wang is. He is the one that wanted Lavy fired some people on here give him way too much credit, when it comes to hockey he's a moron. When it comes to Wang when things go wrong it's never his fault.

Call me a conspiracy nut this morning BUT...

I think Wang is a calculated man, I think he purposely pulled th trip not because of the NHLPA, but because of things happening behind the scenes, he is positioned for whatever happens with the TOH report due out shortly, if the plan is not to his liking, I think he has a plan B all set up meaning that he is ready to split.

Wang will either be the long term owner after June or he is ready to sell it, and probably has someone waiting in the wings... With Daly of the NHL denying the fact they are not in controle of the team, just makes me think they actually are (we all remember such denials with the Coyotes...)

Cancelling the trip just re-inforces my paranoia about this whole thing, with no Chna trip, a new owner is not going in with such baggage waiting in the wings, or the NHL will not be stuck flipping this bill....(cue the X-Files song).

Note: (Cue the Xmas song) "All I want for Xmas is a well run team....a well run team....a well run team..."

I agree. It makes the most sense...but felt we should go thru the possible options also. IF it is the case, it is a PR mess. Why try to make it because of the NHLPA and "Wang's angered" over something when they can just admit they could not handle the logistics, or didn't feel it was in the best interest of the team...etc.

BD ... Purely speculative on my part... but I think murmurs up in the tower of "Islanders Entertainment" were kinda second guessing the whole China training camp thing. I think as the logistics were developing I think some unpleasant surprises were rearing its ugly head making it to be more of a chore, and financial burden than a good environment for training camp. Just my opinion.

I think in the end this is better for the team. It just looks ridiculous once again.
