I grew up in Atlanta and have played hockey all my life. I look forward to learning how to be a good blogger and give Thrashers fans and others another outlet to read about the team.
Quite the day today huh? The Thrashers gave up the 24th and 54th picks in the draft, Marty Reasoner and prospect Jeremy Morin for Dustin Byfuglien, Brent Sopel, Ben Eager and prospect Akim Aliu. That is a lot of information to take in right there! Initial Thoughts: I like it… the Thrashers add quite a [...]
The Thrashers failed to have their first back to back wins in quite a while, but it was not for a lack of trying. The Thrash played a very good game and were stymied again and again by one Ryan Miller.
The Thrashers have posted an 8-3-2 record for the month of November. The penalty kill and the goaltending are easily the biggest reason for that. They keep winning games, but I think the best hockey out of this team has not been played yet.
The Thrashers are riding a 4 game win streak into tonights matchup against the Bruins at Philips Arena.
The Thrashers played quite well in the return of Captain Kovalchuk last night and skated away with a 5-3 victory. Tonight they look for 3 wins in a row at home against Kopitar and the Kings.

The Thrashers are now officially on the first losing streak of the season after late game comebacks that came up short in the last two games. Tonight was a 4-3 loss to the Sharks.
It was not a very good night for most of the Thrashers. Ondrej Pavelec was an exception to that as he played exceptional.
Not often can I say that the PK unit won us a game, but that was, in fact, the case tonight in New Jersey where the Thrashers took a 4-2 victory to go to 3-1-0 on the season.
At least it has seemed like that long! Finally, after playing just three games since the regular season kicked off the Thrashers will really get things going starting tonight in New Jersey.
The Thrashers went into St. Louis and got a 4-2 win in the Blues home opener.
Game 2 is FINALLY happening tonight after 5 longs days since the season opener. Tonight the Thrashers take on the St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center.
The Thrashers opened the 2009-10 season in much the same way as last season, with a win in a very high scoring game.
The first game of 82 is upon us and it also happens to be the home opener. Tonight The Thrashers take on the Lightning in the first of 6 meetings this season.
In a somewhat interesting move it was announced that the Thrash has claimed Christoph Schubert off re-entry waivers from the Ottawa Senators.
