Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa, Brian Metzer has been covering the Pittsburgh Penguins and National Hockey League since 2004. He currently serves as a Penguins correspondent for XM Radio’s NHL Home Ice, is the primary contributor for this blog and has a couple more tricks up his sleeve. Over the years Metzer has covered two Stanley Cup Finals, an Olympic Hockey Tournament, and countless National Hockey League games. He previously spent four years as the featured Pittsburgh Penguins blogger for www.hockeybuzz.com, hosted a wildly popular Penguins/NHL podcast, and has contributed NHL and Olympic coverage to www.versus.com.
