Ducks Drop Six in a Row!(Updated)

The Ducks, who debuted their brand new third  jerseys fell to the Defending Stanley Cup Champions at the Honda Center. This was their sixth straight loss  and they are now 10-11-3 on the season.

“It didn’t look like they had to work too hard to get their chances,” .“We gave away too much. It’s just not possible against such a good team.” -Jonas Hiller

The Ducks lead through one period, scoring with 3:11 left in the First period. On the power play Dan Sexton deflected a point shot from Saku Koivu to make it 1-0. It was Dan Sexton’s first goal since January 27 of last season.

The Ducks had a chance to double the lead on the power play, but Chicago scored a shorthanded goal as Ryan Getzlaf made a bad pass that ended up in the hands of Duncan Keith. He fired a one timer that Hiller made a first save on, but eventually trickled in.

“I thought I made the save and I couldn’t find the puck so I just didn’t want to move. “It is really hard to get scored on a power play and take a short-hander. I still don’t know how it went in. We were unable to react after that.” -Jonas Hiller

Chicago took the lead  as the Ducks Andy Sutton turned the puck over to Patrick Sharp, he shot it right over Hiller’s glove. Not much later Niklas Hjalmarsson Slapped it from the point as Hiller was screened by Andy Sutton.

Jonas Hiller was replaced with Curtis McElhinney in the Third period as Troy Brouwer delivered a hard hit on Todd Marchant to knock the puck loose and he fired the puck from the slot into the goal.

The Ducks, who, until today hadn’t played in four days hope to stop their loosing streak against the Phoenix Coyotes tomorrow night at the Jobbing.com center.

What do you think the Ducks have to do to start winning again?
