I heard some whatnot like that yelled by a few of the Flyers fans that showed up when Philly played the Islanders about a week ago. That's some ignorant BS. That's getting close to the garbage that I saw and heard when Jim Balsillie was trying to buy the Coyotes. I saw numerous Canadians saying that the Phoenix fans didn't deserve to have a team. I hate to say it, but the reason why there aren't more teams in Canada is because they chose not to support the Jets and Nordiques and they had to move. They also allowed the Senators to go bankrupt as well. Throughout all of that there was little talk of whether any of those cities deserved a team. If a team is destined to move then it will be sad for the fans and great for the people in the new city, but it isn't something to root for. It's the sports version of telling someone that you hope their mother gets cancer. Compared to that "Potvin Sucks" is steeped in class.

There's a bigger point, and that's the raw stupidity of visiting fans chanting it at the Coliseum. Let's take this apart: they come to the Coliseum. They probably drove, and if they're from New Jersey, they came a reasonably far distance. They pay tolls. They pay parking. They pay gasoline. They buy a ticket. They stuff their fat face with overpriced concessions. And then they chant something which could be taken apart to mean "We want these games to not take place anymore, because we want you to move!" even though they underook all that investment of time and money voluntarily. How stupid is that? If you don't want the games to take place, why the hell are you here? Why did you spend all that money and invest all that time to be here if you want the opportunity to be here to be cut off?

All I can say is: uh-duh.
